Bio
More than half of people will struggle with a mental health issue at some point in their lifetime. It’s common to struggle with depression, anxiety, self doubt, and grief. Even with a support system, we can feel overwhelmed, alone, and stuck. I love this quote: “Everyone goes off the rails a little or a lot sometimes. That’s the nature of life. One of the bravest things to say is ‘I need help.’” It can get better. Your state can improve. There is hope. There is light. After all, mountains do not rise without earthquakes. I can help guide you to it and through it. My therapeutic strengths of non-judgment, compassionate listening, and insight can help you get from surviving to thriving. It’s all about you when you’re here.
I am a Clinical Mental Health Therapist and have over a dozen years of experience. My areas of specialization include counseling with women and adolescent girls on a variety of issues. I am also experienced with family issues and mens issues. My passion is to help others be resilient through their problems and live more fulfilling, happy lives. The main theoretical frameworks from which I draw are cognitive-behavioral therapy, existential theory, and specific skills-building approaches. I also believe in the mind-body connection and understand how nutrition and movement is foundational for mental health.
